Please come celebrate John working in the North Powder District for 43 years. This celebration is open to the community, former students, and anyone who wants to celebrate John. The celebration will last an hour. We hope to see you!
Mark your calendars for the All-School and Community breakfast during the Huckleberry Festival. Check out the flyer.
We will be serving breakfast/lunch out of the cafeteria Monday through Thursday from June 14th through July 8th. We are trying to gage interest. Breakfast/lunches would need to be picked up daily from the back doors of our cafeteria. We think each week we would send you a survey so you could mark down what days you would be picking up the meals. These meals will be of no cost to you, and would be for children 0 through 18 years old. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfcRZU8mPnUgfo-Ow5YSVfqymQIbLPuWwUSYdj7tDAqCkBaQw/viewform?usp=sf_link

There will be NO SCHOOL for the North Powder School District on Monday, May 31st in observance of Memorial Day, remembering and honoring persons who have died while serving in the United States Military.
Dear North Powder School District Parents and Community,
This year has been an extremely challenging year. Now as we near the finish line, the district needs to ask for your help and continued patience for a couple more weeks. Monday night at the basketball game I misinterpreted a rule and players were allowed to play without masks. Yesterday, I received a phone call from OSAA and I took full credit for the error, but also had to assure the OSAA that North Powder would follow the current guidelines. This means all players, coaches and spectators are required to wear a mask at indoor competitions.
This is where we need you to work with, and help the school so our athletes can still play indoor sports and have spectators attend. We are near the finish line for this school year and are still required to wear masks indoors during the school day and at school functions and extra curricular activities. This is something we all have to do and when parents or community members refuse to follow these rules, it makes an already difficult and trying situation even harder on staff and administration. Staff and administration are just trying to follow rules so that your children can play sports and have spectators. I do not want to be put in a situation like we were in at the start of the year with extremely limited or no spectators at events.
None of us know what next year will bring, but for right now let’s focus on finishing this year and working together for the benefit of kids. Please come to games prepared to wear a mask appropriately and understand wearing a mask is the expectation. Please understand that in order to live stream games to those families and community members who can not attend in person, we are also live streaming the event for OSAA and anyone else to watch as well. Finally, understand that failure to do so can have negative impacts on our students' ability to play and/or spectators ability to attend in person. Thank you for your patience and continued support and help with this matter.
Respectfully,
Lance L Dixon Molly Smith

Spring Concert
Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at 6:30-7:30 pm in the Middle School Gym
Featuring the middle and high school bands and choir. You won’t want to miss the combined band and also the Townsend family singers. There’s also a very fast bumblebee that will be visiting briefly. My plan is that you can enter the gym, grab the chairs you need and basically sit where you feel comfortable. Please wear a mask in the building. Here's to getting back to normal life!
Hope to see you there. Mr. Matt Carlsen
5th-grade Band Concert

My plan is that you can enter the gym, grab the chairs you need and basically sit where you feel comfortable. Please wear a mask to the concert. Thank you.
Hope to see you there. Mr. Matt Carlsen

Our art students and teacher are so talented. If you missed the show yesterday, here are a couple of photos. Bravo to all involved!
Thank you for your support with the FFA plant sale! The greenhouse was full Tuesday morning and they were all sold out by Thursday afternoon. There are a few hanging baskets and gallon pots at both CJ’s and the Badger Mart. If you are still needing something, please check in with them. Student growers this year were: Jacee Thompson, Robert Hack, McKay Anderson, Neveah Schuldt, Maddox Baldwin, Jodi Bingham, Abby Cox! As always, thank you for supporting our students!
We have the NED assembly virtually on Thursday. This should be fun!
Congratulations to Belle Blair for breaking the school record in the long jump. The previous record holder was Carla Taylor, from 1979, and then Amanda Bingham in 2002. Belle's record is 17'. Way to go Belle!
