Hello little Badger families. Kindergarten Jumpstart will be occurring this summer, July 31st for two weeks - 8:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. If you have questions about the program, please reach out to Mrs. Betsy Nedrow. If you are interested in your child attending, please fill out the paperwork and send it to school or email it to betsy.nedrow@npowdersd.org before July 1st. We hope your incoming kindergarten student will be able to attend. Please check out the attachment for registration information.

Our annual color run will be Wednesday, starting at 10:45 a.m. We will line-up at 10:35 a.m., and the route will start out in front of the elementary on Badger Way. We will go down Fourth Street to Center Street, and back to school on Fifth Street. We hope you will be able to join us in the fun, as well as a picnic on the playground. Buses will run at at 11:45 a.m.

On Thursday, at 9:45 a.m., we will have our seniors walk down the school hallways one last time as a student of Powder Valley. Please feel free to join us for this event. If you would like to be in the building, please check in at the office to obtain a guest pass.

This is a reminder that tomorrow is Bike, Walk, Move to School day. On Monday, May 29th, the North Powder School District is closed in observance of Memorial Day. This holiday honors military personnel who have died while serving in the U.S. armed forces.

Our NHS will provide babysitting, and this presentation focuses on how to keep our kids safe in the Cyber World. Please check out the flyer posted on our website, FB page, and email. Detective Detective Richard Wistocki is a nationally recognized High Technology Cyber Crimes Specialist and we are thankful for the opportunity to host him at our school. Keeping our students safe is a high priority. He will be speaking to our middle and high school students earlier in the day. Please join us for the evening session.

Friday School is this Friday from 8 am until noon in Mrs. Dixon's math room for 6th through 12th grade students. This is an opportunity for students to get extra support. If you would like your child to attend, please contact the office. If they are failing a class, we would like to see them here.

This is a great opportunity to learn how to help your child navigate being safe on the internet. We will have babysitting available from our National Honor Society. We hope you will mark your calendars and come learn with us. May 9th is the date, from 6:30 - 8:30 in the MPR.
